The second thought came into my head was: can I use paper tape to create similar stuff like this?
There are different materials with tapes, various prints as well. For this decorating paiting, I bought washi paper tapes with 3 different colours but no prints. Washi paper tape is a little bit transparent and softest colour you can ever imagine. I didn't find the colour they use in the photo. So I picked grey, pink and orange based our lounge, which is the background of all these photos.
The brightness and purity of these three colours are the closest with my imagination. However, washi paper tapes have a wide arrange of colour to pick. Please feel free to find your favourites!
(Washi paper tape: bought from Kinokuniya Sydney, $3.75 each)
I didn't realise the second problem while I was making the pink one, that's why it looks a bit weird in the photo.
Hope I explained this clear enought:) However, if you still don't get it, it doesn't matter. Just get the material and start. Paper tapes can be removed easily from the canvas even papers. So if you make any mistake, just peel them off and start again:)
These three pantings took me less than $30 and 50 mins to complete. It's great fun as well:)
